We are looking for an IT NETWORK TECHNICIAN who is a flexible problem solver with significant technical experience to join our tight-knit team.

This is a full time home based position which includes phone and remote support and over 80% travel within the South Florida area for client on-site support .

Requirements and Experience:
• Microsoft Certification preferred
• Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
• Active Directory administration
• Virtualization (VMware) – Good virtualization knowledge, specifically VMware, VSphere
• Microsoft SQL Server & Crystal Reports
• Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Networking equipment – Cisco routers, switches
• Firewall configuration / troubleshooting (Cisco)
• Backup solutions (Veeam, Shadow Protect, etc)
• Knowledge of Apple IOS and devices a plus Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues (Tier 1 thru 3)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer support, virtualization and system admin
• Autotask experience helpful

Ability and Strength in the following areas:

  • Deploying IT infrastructure (provisioning, system configuration, monitoring, identity and access management, compute, and networking).
  • Investigate, analyze, diagnose and resolve complex IT infrastructure problems.
  • Resolve problems across applications, database or data errors, message flow, server performance, storage optimization, and network connectivity.
  • Experience with common Internet services and protocols such as DNS, NTP, SMTP, LDAP/AD, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Prior support of storage solutions and expertise in deduplication, compression, snapshotting, cloning, and DR practices.
  • Excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Internet.
  • You should have a solid knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP & HTTP, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools such as traceroute, ping, and dig. Knowledge of PowerShell is a PLUS.
  • Provide full, end-to-end user support and ensure corporate network system performance. Ensure steady state network operations.
  • Identify needs for technical support, determine level of support warranted and provide support to end users, including LAN connectivity, hardware, software, network, and printing issues.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, managers, clients, vendors and other outside parties and deal with users who need immediate support. 
  • Work with team members to ensure timely quality of technical service to clients and users. Be able to convey essential information to clients and communicate technical detail into every day terminology. 
  • Prioritize service requests and set level of expectation with regarding IT issue resolution. Identify and provide instruction and training on hardware and software within area of expertise.
